Jeff Benson

Jeff Benson, Jr.

A writer/director extraordinaire currently lives in Middletown, CT. and is President of the film production company Fear No Man Productions, LLC. Fear No Man Productions was founded in 2003 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since the creation of his production company, Jeff has made an immediate impact on the City of Pittsburgh as well as nationally.

His screenplay "Pharaoh's Reign" placed first runner up in the Indie Black Film Festival (www.indieblackfilm.com) held in Atlanta, GA during the month of January in 2004. The screenplay also won First Place in the San Francisco Black Film Festival (www.sfbff.org), June 2004, as well as received runner up honors in the BHERC Film Festival screenwriting contest (www.bherc.org) held in Los Angeles, November of 2004.

Shontae Khaleel White

Shontae Khaleel White was born in Columbus, OH but raised in Pittsburgh, PA before moving to Philadelphia in 1995 where he earned his degree in Theatre from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. While at Temple he participated in various plays ( from Balm and Gilead to Tis Pity) and became involved in theatrical and film management and production. Since graduation he has worked with various theatrical/film groups in various capacities from Managing Director of LMS Productions (produced Philadelphia Productions of Once on This Island, Avenue X, the Philadelphia Premiere of Homebound and the World Premiere of Sankofa, the play) to his current position as Vice President of Fear No Man Productions.

After leaving Philadelphia in 2002 he moved to Connecticut where he worked in event planning and management working with such artist like: Busta Rhymes, John Legend, Guster, 50 Cent, The Roots and many others in the production and promotion of concerts for the collegiate community. He also got back involved in acting where he was seen as Mereb in AIDA, Richie in A Chorus Line and C.C in Dreamgirls. Shontae currently resides in Gainesville, FL where he works as the Assistant Director for Student Activities at the University of Florida.

R. Daniel Lavelle

Robert Daniel Lavelle was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. In 1995, Daniel left Pittsburgh and enrolled in Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. While attending Kent State Daniel was involved with numerous student organizations and activities. He wrote for the student newspaper, was involved with the University television stations as well as DJ’d and hosted a top rated weekly radio show that spanned three years. However, he was most involved as a student activist, which would help set the table and prepare him for his career in government and politics. He served as the President of the Black Student Union, was involved in numerous student protest and student lead social campaigns. Daniel graduated from Kent State in 2000 with his degree in Pan-African Studies.

Daniel returned home to Pittsburgh in 2001 and worked as an Executive Assistant for a local city councilman. He has also worked on and managed numerous political and social campaigns, including congressional and presidential races. He also has served on numerous boards and been involved with numerous community and political organizations such as the Hill District Education Council and the League of Young Voters. Daniel currently serves as Chief of Staff to Pennsylvania State Representative Jake Wheatley, Jr.
